IP receives the data from TCP, breaks it up into packets, and ships it off to a network. The IP address is a unique number consisting of four parts separated by dots, e. g. , 165. 113. 245. 2. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a protocol for assigning dynamic IP addresses to devices on a network. With dynamic addressing, a device can have a different IP address every time it connects to the network. In some systems, the IP address of the device can even change while it is still connected. Dynamic addressing simplifies network administration because the software keeps track of IP addresses rather than requiring an administrator to manage the task. New computers can be added to a network without manually assigning each one a unique IP address. IP Table Edit, remove, or enter a control system's IP address in the IP table to enable communication between the touchpanel and a control system.
