Receiving digital stations
To use your new DTR 1784 CO digital receiver you need a digital outdoor or indoor antenna. Unlike analogue broadcasting, not every station has its own transmission frequency. Instead, several stations are grouped into what are known as bouquets on a regional or national level. You can find the current transmission information on teletext from various broadcasters, or look in a TV guide or on the Internet.
Special features of your digital receiver
The DTR 1784 CO digital receiver can receive and process all unencrypted digital stations. [. . . ] Using » «, set the security query to »Yes« and confirm this with »OK«.

Language settings

Selecting the preferred audio language
You can set a preferred language for all programmes. 1 2 Select »Audio Language« with »P-« or »P+«. Press » « or » « to select the language.
Selecting a second audio language
If the programme is not broadcast in the language selected in »Audio Language«, the »Second audio language« is used. 1 2 Select »Audio Language #2« with »P-« or »P+«. Press » « or » « to select the language.
Select the subtitle language
You can select the language for the subtitles. 1 2 Select »Subtitle Language« with »P-« or »P+«. Press » « or » « to select the language.
Selecting the second subtitle language
If the subtitles are not broadcast in the language selected in »Subtitle language«, the »Second subtitle language« is used. 1 2 Select »Subtitle Language #2« with »P-« or »P+«. Press » « or » « to select the language.
Automatic subtitles
You can set the subtitles so that they automatically appear when they are transmitted in the selected subtitle language. 1 2 Select »Subtitles Automatic« by pressing »P-« or »P+«. Press » « or » « to switch this function on or off.

Info banner display duration
You can specify how long the info banner is to be displayed when changing the channel. Select »None« if you do not want the info banner to appear. 1 2 Select »Info Banner Duration« by pressing »P-« or »P+«. Press » « or » « to select the display duration.
Automatic info banner
