How to fold copies to make a booklet
The machine sets the reproduction ratio automatically to fit the paper size.

There are two types of designation methods for Image Repeat.
K Original: 51/2" × 81/2"K/Copy paper: L 81/2" × 11"L or Original: 51/2" × 81/2"L/Copy paper: 81/2" × 11"K L K

Whole Area Repeat Repeatedly copies the entire image. Specified Area Repeat Repeatedly copies a specified portion of the image. Decide the base point of the area, specify the length and the width, and then specify the location of the area.

Note The number of repeated images depends on the original size, copy paper size, and reproduction ratio. E Make sure that [Whole Area] is selected, then press [OK].

Specified Area Repeat
You can use this function only when you are making a copy from the Exposure Glass.
Note The base point X1, Y1, and the length set by point X2, Y2 determines the area of an image repeatedly copied. Limitation You cannot use the specified area repeat from ADF.
H Enter the length of [Y1] with the
number keys, then press [#]. number keys, then press [#].
I Enter the length of [X2] with the J Enter
the length of the [Y2] by number keys, then press [#].
K Press [OK] three times. L Place the original on the exposure
glass, and then press the {Start} } key.

Double Copies
One original image is copied twice onto one sheet, as shown.

1. Set on the exposure glass
A Specify the location of the area's
base point (X1, Y1), and its length and width (X2, Y2).
Note You can set any value in the range of X1: 0~412mm ( 0" ~ 1 6 . 2 " ) , X 2 : 20 ~ 4 3 2 m m (0. 8"~17. 0"), Y1: 0~277mm (0"~10. 8"), and Y2: 20~297mm (0. 8"~11. 6").
B Select the size of the copy paper
and the reproduction ratio.
Note You cannot use the bypass tray with this function. See the following table for original and copy paper sizes and orientations when using a 100% ratio:
C Press [Edit / Color Creation]. G Enter the length of [X1] with the
number keys, then press [#].

Specifications
Series Copies · The machine sets the reproduction ratio automatically to meet the paper size and copies the originals together onto the paper. · If the calculated ratio is under the minimum ratio, it is automatically adjusted to within acceptable range. · If the orientation of originals is different from that of the copy paper, the machine will automatically rotate the image by 90° to make copies properly. · You cannot copy with originals different in size and orientation.
