To the Owner
Before operating this projector, read this manual thoroughly and operate the projector properly. [. . . ] Progressive Interlace video signal can be converted to a progressive signal. L1 ···· Select "L1" for an active picture. L2 ···· Select "L2" for a still picture. Film When this function is on, it detects proper interleaving of 3-2 pull down for film-base sources and produces a suitable image for the input source. (This function is available only when selecting L1 or L2 on Progressive for NTSC. ) Reset Resets all adjustment to their previous figure. Store To store the adjustment data, select Store and press the Point Right button. Choose one of 4 image levels with the Point Up/Down button and press the SELECT button. A confirmation box will appear and select [Yes].
This arrow indicates that there are previous items. Select this item and press the Point Up button to go to the previous item.
Press the Point Right button at this icon to store the value.
The Image Level Menu will appear. Choose one of 4 image levels with the Point Up/Down button and press the SELECT button. A confirmation box will appear and select [Yes].
NOTE G You can also adjust items with the IMAGE ADJ. (p12) G Progressive cannot be selected when 480p, 575p, 720p, 1035i, or 1080i is selected.

Screen Size Adjustment
This projector has a useful function to resize a projected screen.

Select the Screen Menu with the Point Up/Down button, and then press the Point Right button to enter the sub-menu. Select an item with the Point Up/Down button and press the Point Left/Right button to set the screen size.
Screen Menu
Full Provides an image to fit the width of the screen by expanding the width of the image uniformly. This function can be used to project a squeezed video signal at a wide video aspect ratio of 16 : 9. When your video equipment (such as DVD) has 16 : 9 output mode, select 16 : 9 and select Full in this Screen Menu to provide better quality. Full through Expands the width of an image and projects it in the center at a wide screen ratio of 16 : 9. (You can enjoy a high-quality image though the projected image is small. ) Zoom Provides an image to fit the screen size (16 : 9 aspect ratio) by expanding the width and height of the image uniformly. This function can be used to project a letter box mode picture (4 : 3 aspect picture with black bar on the top and bottom edges) at a wide video aspect ratio of 16 : 9. Caption IN Provides an image including a caption to fit the screen size (16 : 9 aspect ratio) by expanding the width and height of the image uniformly. Zoom Normal Provides an image at a normal video aspect ratio of 4 : 3. (You can enjoy a high-quality image though the projected image is small. ) Natural wide Modifies an image of 4 : 3 aspect ratio to fit the screen size (16 : 9 aspect ratio). It expands the width and height of the image and makes it look natural.
NOTE G You can also resize a projected screen with the SCREEN (SCR) button on the remote control. [. . . ] The projector cannot be turned on until cooling is completed.
The projector is ready to be turned on with the POWER ON-OFF button.
