Operating tips
The refrigerator compartment temperature drops temporarily: S if large amounts of fresh food are frozen in the freezer compartment. The refrigerator compartment temperature rises: S if the appliance door is opened frequently, S if large quantities of food are placed in the refrigerator compartment, S if the ambient temperature is high.
Selecting the temperature
We recommend storing perishable foods at a temperature not warmer than +4 °C. When the controller is at a medium setting, the temperature drops to approx. Higher settings result in lower temperatures in the refrigerator and freezer compartment. We recommend: S for short term storage of food: low controller setting (energy saving mode, e. g. 4 5) only temporarily if: door opened frequently, large amounts of food placed in the refrigerator compartment.
Storing of food
Take note of the cold zones in the refrigerating zone!
Due to the air circulation in the refrigerating zone, zones with different temperatures are produced: S Coldest zones is between the arrow stamped on the side and glass shelf situated below. When serving, the cheese keeps it aroma and the butter remains spreadable.
Refrigerating capacity
The temperature in the refrigerator compartment may rise temporarily if large amounts of food or a lot of drinks are placed in the refrigerator compartment. Therefore the temperature controller should be rotated to a higher setting (e. g. setting 4) for 7 hours.

When storing the food, note
that food is well wrapped or covered over. Apart from which, the transfer of taste and dying of plastic parts is avoided. We recommend arranging the food as follows: S In the freezer compartment *: Frozen food, ice cubes, ice cream S On the shelves in the refrigerator compartment (from top to bottom): cakes and pastries, ready meals, dairy products, meat and sausage S In the vegetable container: vegetables, salad, fruit S In the door (from top to bottom): butter, cheese, eggs, tubes, small bottles, large bottles, milk, juice cartons
Temperature indicator
(Not all models) The temperature indicator indicates temperatures below +4 °C and is used to determine the required setting of the temperature controller. Set the tempera ture controller between 2 and 3 depen ding on the ambient temperature. For a precise temperature setting set the temperature controller to +4 °C or colder. 12 hours, when the temperature has dropped below +4 °C OK" is indicated (if this does not occur, gradually set the temperature colder).

Interior fittings of refrigerator compartment
If required, you can vary the shelves inside the appliances: pull the shelf forwards, lower and swivel out to the side. Bags and polyethylene blown film can be sealed with a film sealer.
Freezing capacity
Information about the max. Note: Freezing fresh food automatically causes the refrigerating unit to remain in operation until all items are frozen all the way through. This can lead to a drop in temperature inside the refrigerator section. If necessary turn the temperature selector to a lower number.

Information on operating noises
Normal noises
S A humming noise is emitted by the motor (compressor). S A bubbling, gurgling or whirring noise is emitted by the refrigerant as it flows through the tubing. S A clicking noise can be heard when the thermostat switches the motor ON/OFF.
