Selectthelanguageyoupreferfortheaudiotrack (discaudio), subtitles, andthediscmenu. [Other] Toselectanotherlanguage, pressnumeric buttonsandthenbENTERtoenterthe corresponding4-digitnumberaccordingto thelanguagecodelistonthepage41. Ifyou enterthewronglanguagecode, pressCLEAR. [Off (for Disc Subtitle)] TurnoffSubtitle.
Resolution
SetstheoutputresolutionoftheComponentand HDMIvideosignal. Referto"ResolutionSetting"for detailsabouttheresolution(page20). [Auto] IftheHDMIOUTjackisconnectedto TVsprovidingdisplayinformation(EDID), automaticallyselectstheresolutionbestsuited totheconnectedTV. IftheCOMPONENT VIDEOOUTisonlyconnected, thischangesthe resolutionto480i(or576i)asdefaultresolution. [480i (or 576i)] Outputs480(or(576)linesofinterlacedvideo.

Makethefollowingsettingsforthebuilt-in5. 1 channelsurrounddecoder. The[5. 1SPEAKER]appears.
[Speaker] Selectaspeakerthatyouwanttoadjust. Certainspeakersettingsareprohibitedbythe DolbyDigitallicensingagreement. [Volume] PressADtoadjusttheoutputlevelofthe selectedspeaker.

FrontL/R:0--5 SubWoofer, RearL/R, Center:5--5 [Distance] Afteryouconnectedspeakerstoyourunit, settheDistancebetweenthespeakersand yourlisteningpointifthedistanceofCenter orRearspeakersisbiggerthanthedistance ofFrontspeakers. Thisallowsthesoundfrom eachspeakertoreachthelisteneratthesame time. PressADtoadjusttheDistanceofthe selectedspeaker. Thisdistanceisequivalentto adifferenceofthedistancebetweenCenteror RearspeakerandFrontspeakers. [Test] Select[SpeakerTestStart]byusingtheWS andpressbENTER. PressbENTERagainto stop. Adjustthevolumetomatchthevolume oftestsignalsmemorizedinthesystem.
DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
Makethesoundclearwhenthevolumeisturned down(DolbyDigitalonly). Setto[On]forthiseffect.
Vocal
Select[On]tomixkaraokechannelsintonormal stereo. Thisfunctioniseffectiveformulti-channelkaraoke DVDsonly.

HD AV Sync
SometimesDigitalTVencountersadelaybetween pictureandsound. Ifthishappensyoucan compensatebysettingadelayonthesoundso thatiteffectively`waits'forthepicturetoarrive: thisiscalledHDAVSync. UseWS(ontheremote control)toscrollupanddownthroughthedelay amount, whichyoucansetatanythingbetween0 and300msec.
Lock (Parental Control)
Initial Setting the Area Code:
Whenyouusethisunitforthefirsttime, youhave tosettheAreaCode. Toaccessthe[Lock]options, youmustinputthe passwordyouhavecreated. Inputapassword andpressbENTER. Enteritagainandpressb ENTERtoverify. Ifyoumakeamistakebefore pressingbENTER, pressCLEAR. PressbENTERtoconfirmyourAreacode selection.
Semi Karaoke
Whenachapter/title/trackisfullyfinished, this functionshowsthescoreinthescreenwitha fanfaresound. D y VD, DVDKaraokediscswithmorethan 2tracksareavailablediscsforthethis function. W y henyouwatchmovies, "off"theSemi KaraokeattheSETUPmenuorenjoyit withoutconnectingtheMICifthefanfareor scoreappearsduringchangingachapter. T y heSemiKaraokefunctionisavailableonly whenamicrophoneisconnected.
