When heating liquids, always place a teaspoon in the container to stop the liquid from boiling over. When boiling is delayed, the liquid comes to the boil without the customary steam bubbles. Even if the container only vibrates a little, the liquid can boil over a lot or spatter. If you do not have a suitable lid for your dish, use a plate or special microwave foil. Once you have heated up the meals, leave them to stand for another 2 to 5 minutes so that the temperature can stabilize.
