DIS (Digital Image Stabilizer, VP-L906/L907 only)
The DIS function only works in CAMERA mode. DIS (Digital Image Stabilizer) is a handshake compensation function that compensates for any shaking or moving of the hand holding the camcorder (within reasonable limits). MF/AF (Manual Focus/Auto Focus)
The MF/AF function works only in CAMERA mode. In most situations, it is better to use the Automatic Focus feature, as it enables you to concentrate on the creative side of your shooting. Manual focusing may be necessary under certain conditions that make automatic focusing inadequate.
Auto Focusing
The AF (Auto Focus) mode is set automatically when you switch on the Power switch. If you are inexperienced with camcorders, we recommend that you use the Auto Focus mode.
Manual Focusing
In the following situations, you should obtain better results by adjusting the focus manually. Apicture containing several objects, some close to the camcorder, others further away. People or objects moving constantly or quickly like an athlete or crowd.
1. Zoom in on the subject to be shot by pushing the ZOOM tab to the "T" side.

Note: The MF function will not operate in EASY mode.
BLC
BLC only works in CAMERA mode. Back lighting exists when the subject is darker than the background, such as when: - The subject is placed in front of a window. * BLC off - The person to be shot is wearing white or shiny clotheso be shot is wearing white or shiny clothes and is placed against a bright background; the person's face is too dark to distinguish their features. Note: I BLC function will not operate in P. AE or EASY mode.

PROGRAM AE (Automatic Exposure)
The PROGRAM AE function only works in CAMERA mode. [. . . ] This product is not considered to be defective in materials nor workmanship by reason that it requires adaptation in order to conform to national or local technical or safety standards in force in any Country other than the one for which the product was originally designed and manufactured. This warranty will not cover, and no reimbursement will be made for such adaptation nor any damage which may result.
