[. . . ] In the area of this equipment, the regulations and requirements of the German republic does apply (can be subscribed by Carl Heymanns Verlag KG, Luxemburger Straße 449, 50939 Koeln): – accident or regulation "working with fluit high-pressure" BGR 500 Notice High-pressure jets must be inspected once a year, according to the UVV-guidelines BGR 500 by an expert. The Kärcher service engineers are exports and are permitted to conduct this stipulated inspection. In the chapter " inspection documentation" the result of the inspectionmay be documented. Waste water that is generated must be diverted into the drainage system by conforming to the applicable local regulations. [. . . ] Similarly, there should be no interruption in the power supply to the plant. When there is a power interruption the anti freeze equipment is not in operation. Maintenance jobs before and during the frost period
to get a better overview, the maintenance concerning the aniti freeze will summarized here. The checking of the anti freeze must be done yearly before the frost perod. In Time daily before the frosting period Activity Check interiors of the plant Check frost protection devices Maintenance not being done on time or from experts will mean, that there is no guarantee concerning frost damage. By whom Operator Operator
Turn the thermostat of the hot air blower; the hot air blower must start up. Rinse the plant with an anti-frost solution
Note Observe handling instructions of the antifreeze agent manufacturer. σ Switch on the plant (without heater) till the plant has been completely rinsed. σ HDS-C 7/11, HDS-C 9/15: Screw off supply hose at boiler bottom and drain heating spiral empty. 1 Warm water tank 2 Drain screw HDS-C 8/15-E: Remove drain screw of the warm water tank and empty it. 20

Oil container lid Oil drain screw Keep a collection basin for old oil ready. Slowly fill in new oil until the "MAX" marking on the oil container. Clean sieve in the water shortage safeguard (only HDS-C 7/11, HDS-C 9/15)
Decalcify the heating spiral (only HDS-C 7/11, HDS-C 9/15) There will be calcium deposits in the plant if the softening plant (optional) is accidentally out of operation for a long time. Calcium deposits in the plant can lead to following disruptions: – higher pipe resistances, – reduced heat transfer at the heat exchangers, – failure of components spoilt on account of calcium deposits. In the interest of environmental safety, use only tested and approved decalcifying agents (calcium dissolution acids with test marking) to decalcify. The high pressure unit should be decalcified using the Kärcher calcium solvent. ƽ Danger Only persons trained by Kärcher are authorised to decalcify the plant. σ Unscrew the hand-spray gund and insert the hose in the drainage duct so that the water can flow freely. σ Start the washing programme with hot water until the swimmer container for fresh water is almost empty. σ Leave the water inlet open until the swimmer tank for fresh water is full again. σ Switch on the plant briefly and then let the calcium solvent react. [. . . ] Note After completion, check that the electrical connection has the correct three-phase connection. With correct direction of rotation a strong airflow can be felt out of the exhaust opening of the burner. Adjusting the dosing of the softener liquid ƽ Danger Risk of electrical voltage.
