How to prepare the coffee
· Remove the percolator lid, basket cover, filter basket and water tube. [. . . ] Remove the basket cover, filter basket and water tube, taking care to avoid getting burnt. The remaining coffee and coffee grounds could still be hot!· When cleaning the coffee maker, do not use solvents or abrasive detergents. · Never immerse the coffee maker in water: it is an electrical appliance. · The basket cover, filter basket and water tube can be washed in a dishwasher. · Put the appliance away without closing the lid.
Descaling
If the water in your local area is hard, lime scale will form over time. These deposits may affect the correct operation of the appliance. The appliance should be descaled every 40 uses. To descale, always use the special descaling products for coffee machines available on the market. · Dissolve the quantity of descaler indicated on the descaler pack. · When the coffee maker has ceased functioning, remove the appliance from the base and leave to act for about two hours. · Finally, rinse the inside of the appliance and all accessories thoroughly.
