Android™ – what and why?

After you have set up the Google™ account, you need to synchronise your calendar. 1 2 To set the calendar view From the Home screen, tap , then tap Calendar. To view multiple calendars From your Home screen, tap , then tap Calendar. To create a calendar event From your Home screen, tap , then tap Calendar. To add a new reminder for the event, tap Tap Done.

When the appointment time approaches, your phone plays a short sound to remind you. Also, appears in the status bar.

To view a calendar event From the Home screen, tap , then tap Calendar. To dismiss or snooze an event reminder When the reminder icon appears in the status bar, drag the status bar downwards. all or Snooze all.
When the notification panel opens, all reminders are displayed. You can also tap a single reminder and dismiss it from the event overview.

To change the calendar settings From the Home screen, tap , then tap Calendar. Select the setting you want to change.

Synchronising your corporate email, calendar and contacts
Access your corporate email messages, calendar appointments and contacts directly from your phone. After setup, you can find your information in the Email, Calendar and Contacts applications.
For you to access the functionality described above, your corporate information must be stored on a Microsoft® Exchange server.

To set up corporate email, calendar and contacts in your phone From your Home screen, tap . If the settings for your corporate account are not found automatically, , complete the setup manually. Contact your corporate network administrator if you need more information. When the setup is done, enter a name for this corporate account, so that it is easily identifiable. This is because your corporate server needs to control some security features in your phone for the setup to work.
The domain name is often the same as your company name.

To edit the setup of corporate email, calendar and contacts From your Home screen, tap . Tap Settings > Accounts & sync and select your corporate account.
