Notes on Original Documents
Your fax machine can send the following sizes of paper. The automatic document feeder has a capacity of 20 sheets.
If the feeding length exceeds 1000 mm the Minoltafax recognises a document jam and interrupts the reading process. Use yellow, yellow-green or light blue colours for information you do not want to be transmitted. Make sure ink, glue, Tipp-Ex© and other similar substances are completely dry before the transmission.
/
Always remove staples and paper-clips from the document before sending it. Such objects may cause serious damage to the fax machine.
Photocopy or Carrying Film
Original documents that meet the following characteristics must be photocopied or place in a carrying film before they are sent: · paper sizes less than 148 mm width or less than 110 mm length · paper lighter than 43g/m² · folded, torn, wrinkled damp rough or curled paper · chemically treated and pressure sensitive paper.

Placing the Documents
Place the document face down on the document feeder.
Centre the document and adjust the paper guides so that they lightly touch the edges of the document.
You can place up to 20 sheets in the document feeder. Make sure the documents are well placed and aligned before starting the transmission. If the paper is curled or the sheets stick to each other, several pages may be drawn in together. In this case, place the sheets individually in the document feeder to ensure a correct feeding of the documents. Take care that the indicated memory capacity does not drop to 0 (%) while scanning documents, because this will terminate the process.
.
If this occurs repeatedly, contact your technical service to upgrade the capacity of the memory. with the memory turned off.
