In the case, you diluted an already prepared drink, wipe the steam wand, using A wet, clean cloth or kitchen towel. For this, you may remove the black sleeve by pulling it down from the stainless steel tube of the steam wand. After wiping, do not forget to remount the sleeve by simply pushing it back into place (see: `Care and Cleaning / Cleaning the Steam Wand'). WARNING ­ With the steam button pressed, hot water and steam escapes from the steam wand under pressure, as soon as you turn the steam dial open.
