CARTRIDGE OPERATION AND STORAGE
OPERATION
To prevent condensation and for long life, the cartridge should only be operated or stored in the following conditions.

Handle the cartridge carefully. [. . . ] · When carrying tape cartridges in their cases, always orient the cases so that the grooves in the case interlock. · Do not place tape cartridge near any sources of high intensity magnetic fields, such as a PC monitor, electric motors, or stereo speakers. Dust or natural skin oils can contaminate the tape and impact tape performance.

WRITE PROTECTING CARTRIDGES
The write protect switch protects recorded data.

Front Slide Slot
Push the switch to the left to prevent any data recording on the cartridge. Push the switch to the right to allow data recording on the cartridge. In either position of the write protect switch, the data can be read from the cartridge.
TAPE DURABILITY
Super DLTtapeTM, 1/2" cartridge Tapes, on average, are expected to exceed 1, 000, 000 head passes when operated in a Super DLTtape drive in an office or computer room environment within the ranges specified above.
CAUTION
This cartridge is designed for use with Super DLTtape drives only.
A cartridge intended for archiving data should be stored in the plastic case and in room environment conditions of 73°F (23°C 5°C), 50% 10% Relative Humidity. Do not expose the tape cartridge to moisture or store in direct sunlight.
