This manual classifies the precautions to the user into the following two categories. After reading this manual, keep it in a place easily accessible to the user for future reference. WARNING CAUTION Failure to follow a warning is very likely to result in such grave consequences as death or serious injury. Display l Pressing the (POWERFUL) button during operation starts POWERFUL operation. l POWERFUL operation ends in 20 minutes. before POWERFUL operation. Notes on POWERFUL operation NOTE <Note for heat pump multi system> When two or more indoor units have no precedence-room settings and are set to modes that differ from each other, the indoor unit which is operated first activates, while the other indoor unit does not activate and the OPERATION lamp blinks. (This is not a malfunction. ) An indoor unit that is not in operation will automatically start and operate in the mode in which a previously operated indoor unit was stopped. However, if the unit in operation provides only COOL and DRY modes, simultaneous operation is possible. l In COOL and HEAT mode To maximize the cooling and heating effect, the capacity of outdoor unit must be increased and the air flow rate be fixed to the maximum setting. The temperature and air flow settings are not variable. l In DRY mode The temperature setting is lowered by 3°C and the air flow rate is slightly increased. l In FAN mode The air flow rate is fixed to the maximum setting. 9 êë 5RRPý$LUý&RQGLWLRQHUVý-ý6HULHV ('íéðííì 2SHUDWLRQý0DQXDO Adjusting the Air Flow Direction You can adjust the air flow direction to increase your comfort. You can also use OFF TIMER and ON TIMER in combination. l Check that the clock is correct. If not, set the clock to the present time (See page 7). Notes on OFF TIMER When the OFF TIMER is set, the air conditioner automatically adjusts the temperature setting (0. 5ºC up in COOL, 2. 0°C down in HEAT) to prevent excessive cooling (heating) for your pleasant sleep. AM AM Notes on ON, OFF TIMER l When TIMER is set, the present time is not displayed. (The memory is canceled when remote controller batteries are replaced. ) n In the following cases, set the timer again. l After replacing batteries in the remote controller. 11 êé 5RRPý$LUý&RQGLWLRQHUVý-ý6HULHV ATTENTION Display l NIGHT SET MODE ('íéðííì 2SHUDWLRQý0DQXDO Good Sleep Cooling Operation (G-SLEEP) ·The "Good Sleep Cooling Operation" makes the 1/f Fluctuating Temperature. It brings you comfortable sleep as it prevents from getting chilied. 1 Press -SLEEP in cooling operation. n To change the temperature setting. (See page 10. ) n To cancel the "Good Sleep Cooling Operation ", press Back to the normal cooling opration. -SLEEP . Notes on "Good sleep cooling operation " l We adopt the 1/f fluctuation rhythm in temperature control. A 1/f fluctuation rhythm is used in temperature control.
