² Open the back panel and load
a film, as shown. Make sure that the teeth on the winder wheel engage in the corresponding perforations in the film. Make sure that the switch for the direction of winding is positioned as shown.

7. Taking photographs
When you have a subject in focus on the viewfinder . . . » The window in the counter shows how may photos have already been taken. Note: If a new film has been loaded, the counter is not yet positioned at number "1". Press the release button as often as necessary till the counter shows the number "1".
a) "Red eye" reduction Due to the intensity of the flash, the eyes of people in photographs often appear with a striking red colour. This is because the light from the flash is reflected on the inside of the eyes. This causes the pupils of the person being photographed to contract, so that the flash is not reflected so strongly.

8. Taking the film out
After the last photograph on the film has been used, no more photos can be taken: ¾ Move the winder direction switch up to the cartridge symbol. [. . . ] Return these to your retailer or to an appropriate collection site for disposal. If you wish to dispose of this appliance, take it to a recycling center for electronic equipment .
