[. . . ] TO OPERATE THE VENT VALVE: To close the valve when establishing a vacuum under the bell jar, rotate the wing nut clockwise until it is tight. To open and release applied vacuum, start by slowly opening the valve to gradually expose the bell jar to atmospheric pressure. Do not release vacuum so quickly that vapor formation is observed under the bell jar. TO INSTALL THE VENT VALVE KIT: The high flow vacuum vent valve kit is installed between the KF25 vacuum port on the PG7601 and the vacuum isolation valve. It replaces the more restrictive PG7600 Vacuum Relief Valve kit (P/N 401050). Assemble the hardware as shown in the figure below. The dashed lines indicate hardware included with the VA-7601-REF vacuum package and on the PG7601. It is not recommended to use vacuum grease on the valve body o-ring.
