Assembly Instructions A 1 Assembly of Lower Handles to Deck 1. Place the washer and wing knob onto the end of the tie rod and firmly tighten. Repeat on the other side. B 1 C 2 1 D 8 9 Assembly of Upper Handles to Lower Handles. Ensure the upper handle is located correctly with the lock-off button on the switchbox uppermost. Ensure the upper handle and the lower handle are aligned correctly. (B) 4. Make sure the cable is not trapped between the upper and lower handles. 7 1 2 3 4 5 6 Grassbox Assembly 1. Insert the grassbox handle into the grassbox upper, as illustrated in fig C, and press firmly down until the handle clicks into place. Locate the clips in the numerical order illustrated in Fig D, ensuring all the clips are firmly in place. 4 Cutting Height Adjustment E Cutting Height Adjustment (E) & (F) · Height of cut is adjusted by raising or lowering the wheels. Locate fully assembled grassbox onto the location point at the rear of the deck (G1) Locate safety flap onto the top of the grassbox. AFTER FITTING ENSURE NO GAP REMAINS BETWEEN THE SAFETY FLAP AND THE GRASSBOX. For larger areas of grass where grass collection is not required you can use your lawnmower without the grassbox. The design of the safety flap permits the cut grass to be discharged downward behind the machine. · · 1 5 Starting and Stopping H J To Start your Lawnmower 1. To secure, position loop over the hook and pull the cable back through the slot (J). Tilt the handle downwards to slightly raise the front of the lawnmower and to reduce the risk of lawn damage whilst starting. The switchbox is provided with a lock-off button (K1) to prevent accidental starting. Press and hold the lock-off button (K) on the switchbox, then squeeze one of the Start/Stop levers towards the upper handle (L). Continue to squeeze the start/stop lever towards the upper handle and release the lock-off button (M).
