Chapter 4 Using Basic Applications 4. 13 Date Book: Agenda View Working in Agenda View The Agenda view lets you view appointments, untimed events, and To Do List items in a single screen. Although it is primarily a viewing option, you can also use the Agenda view to check off completed To Do List items. To go to a Day View of any event on the Agenda view screen, simply tap the desired event. Tap the Agenda view icon or press the Date Book button until the Agenda view appears. Agenda View icon 2. See "Using the To Do List" later in this chapter for more information on To Do items. 4. 14 Chapter 4 Using Basic Applications Date Book: Display Options CHANGING THE DATE BOOK DISPLAY In Day or Month view, you can change which events appear in the Date Book. In Day view, you can display time bars that highlight event conflicts. For Day view, select from the following options: · Tap Show Time Bars to display time bars showing the duration of an event and any event conflicts. · Tap Compress Day View to display start and end times for each event, but no blank time slots at the bottom of the screen, to minimize scrolling. For Month view, select whether to display Timed, Untimed, or Daily Repeating events. Changing the Displayed Start and End Times You can change the preferences used for new entries. Preferences include display starting time, display ending time, and alarm characteristics. See "Setting Alarm Options" earlier in this chapter for more information on alarm preferences. The Day view schedules events to start and end at these times when the All Day option is selected. The Week view displays the time span defined by the Start Time and End Time. Tap Start Time and use the scroll arrows to select a new start time for the Date Book screens. If the time slots you select do not fit on one screen, tap the scroll arrows to scroll up and down. If you send ^char, and the ASCII value of char is between @ and _, then the character is automatically translated to a single-byte value between 0 and 31.
