About this guide

Bookmarking a webpage
Add your favorite webpages as bookmarks so you can access them quickly. On the Bookmark this page screen, you can edit the bookmark name or save the bookmark in a new category folder. Navigate to the bookmark you

Using your browsing history
HTC Desire 820 keeps a record of webpages you've visited. If you don't want HTC Desire 820 to keep your browsing history, browse using an incognito tab. Navigate to the webpage that you want to view, and then tap it.
Clearing your browsing history
1. If you want to delete a single webpage entry, go to the History or Most visited tab, press and hold the webpage entry, and then tap Remove from history or Remove from most visited. Browsing history stored by other browsers on HTC Desire 820 will remain unaffected. > Settings > Privacy & security > Clear history.

You can use incognito tabs to browse the Web with more privacy. Browser cookies are deleted and not shared when you close all incognito tabs. Pages you view in incognito also won't appear in your browser history (except for files you've downloaded). From the browser screen, tap > .

Listening to music
Enjoy your favorite songs on HTC Desire 820 using the Music app. When you open the Music app for the first time, you'll be asked if you would like to automatically download related content, such as album covers and artist photos, to HTC Desire 820. Tap the onscreen icons to control music playback, repeat songs, and more. Press and drag your finger across the progress bar to jump to any part of the song. (Shuffle is off when button is gray. ) Cycle through the repeat modes: repeat all songs, repeat current song, and don’t repeat. [. . . ] Tap Lock phone after, then specify the idle time before the screen is locked. You can also clear Make pattern visible or Make passwords visible if you don’t want your screen lock to display as you enter it onscreen.
Setting up face unlock
Set up face unlock if you want to unlock HTC Desire 820 using the front camera. Tap Screen lock > Face Unlock.
