Tighten locking nut firmly with a wrench while holding screwdriver in position. If the blade binds against the shield, or appears to be uneven, the blade is not centered, and you must reinstall. WARNING: Wear protective gloves when handling or performing maintenance on the blade to avoid injury. The blade is sharp and can cut you even when it is not moving. WARNING: Under no circumstances should the edger be used without the blade guard installed. 1. Align hole in the dust cup with the hole in the side of the bevel gear by rotating the dust cup (A). This will keep the output shaft from turning while loosening the locking nut (E). 13 FUEL HANDLING Fuel mixture CAUTION!The machine is equipped with a two-stroke engine and must always be run using a mixture of gasoline and twostroke engine oil. It is important to accurately measure the amount of oil to be mixed to ensure that the correct mixture is obtained. When mixing small amounts of fuel, even small inaccuracies can drastically affect the ratio of the mixture. S Mix (shake) the fuel mixture thoroughly before filling the machine’s fuel tank. WARNING: Gasoline Always ensure there is adequate ventilation when handling fuel. CAUTION!Always use high quality unleaded gasoline. S This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. If you run the engine on lower octane rating than 87, “knocking” can occur. This leads to an increased engine temperature, which can result in a serious engine breakdown.
