[. . . ] Observe your surroundings and make sure that there is no risk of people or animals coming into contact with the cutting equipment. The right hand should be on the rear handle, and the left hand on the front handle. Use a firm grip with thumbs and fingers encircling the chain saw handles. The chain brake is released by moving the front hand guard marked ”PULL BACK TO RESET” back, towards the front handle. To avoid involuntary start up, the spark plug cap must always be removed from the spark plug when the machine is unsupervised. 1 2009-12-29 English – 21 WORKING TECHNIQUES Before use: (55) 1 Check that the chain brake works correctly and is not damaged. 8 Check that all parts of the chain saw are tightened correctly and that they are not damaged or missing.
