Store in a well-ventilated area away from sparks, open flames, heaters, or heat sources. • Do not siphon fuel from the vehicle. ý WARNING • Turn the key switch to the OFF position, remove the key, and leave the Forward/Reverse handle in the NEUTRAL position during storage. This is to prevent unintentionally starting the vehicle or a fire hazard. • Gasoline vehicles only: Turn fuel shut-off valve to the closed (OFF) position (Figure 12). • Do not attempt to charge frozen batteries or batteries with bulged cases. Frozen batteries can explode. ý CAUT ION • Batteries in a low state of charge will freeze at low temperatures. Unload the vehicle so that the tires are supporting only the weight of the vehicle. If the battery appears to be weak, have it charged by a trained technician. Use an automotive-type 12-volt battery charger rated at 10 amps or less. Check electrolyte level after charging and add distilled water if necessary. NOTE: Due to the oil added to the gasoline engine in preparation for storage, the engine may smoke excessively for a short time when it is run for the first time after storage. Perform the Pre-Operation and Daily Safety Checklist on page 17 and the Performance Inspection on page 18. MAINTENANCE See General Warnings on page 8. To ensure trouble-free vehicle performance, follow an established preventive maintenance program. Regular and consistent maintenance can prevent vehicle downtime and expensive repairs. Use the Pre-Operation and Daily Safety Checklist on page 17, the Performance Inspection on page 18, and the following Periodic Service Schedule and Periodic Lubrication Schedule to keep the vehicle in proper working condition. Any vehicle not functioning correctly should not be used until it is properly repaired. This will prevent further damage to the vehicle and help prevent injury to occupants resulting from unsafe conditions. Contact your local Husqvarna dealer/distributor for repairs and semiannual and annual periodic service. Anyone doing even simple repairs or service should have knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical repair. The appropriate instructions must be used when performing maintenance, service, or accessory installation. • If any problems are found during scheduled inspection or service, do not operate vehicle until repairs are made. [. . . ] If the part fails during the period of warranty coverage, the part will be repaired or replaced by CLUB CAR according to subsection (4) below. Any such part repaired or replaced under warranty will be warranted for the remainder of the period. (2) Any warranted part that is scheduled only for regular inspection in the written instructions supplied is warranted for the warranty period stated above.
