Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Use only fluids decomposable into organic substances (products used for cars); do not use polishing substances containing abrasives. G When renewing the coolant it is advisable to warm the engine up to eliminate air bubbles inside the cooling circuit. Use solo líquidos biodegradables (productos especiales para automóviles); no use substancias para pulir que contengan abrasivos. Your new motorcycle is designed and manufactured to be the finest in its field. [. . . ] The engine should be allowed to run slowly for a few minutes during the warm season and for a longer time in the winter. In this way the oil can reach all the surfaces needing lubrication and the coolant will reach the necessary temperature for correct engine function. WARNING*: As the exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide, never leave the engine running in closed places. USE OF THE VEHICLE Fully pull the clutch lever towards the handle to start the engine; then smootly, but firmly, lower the gearbox pedal to engage the first gear. After a few meter running, shift into second as follows: close the throttle, pull the clutch lever and lift the gearbox pedal to the end of stroke; then engage the clutch and open the throttle. To shift down, reverse the movement of the gearbox pedal, always pulling the clutch lever before shifting into gear and partially closing the throttle to rev up the engine when the clutch is released. Remember that you shift up by lifting the gearbox pedal and you shift down by lowering it. Stopping the motorcycle: Pull the brakes and shift the speeds until the 1st speed is engaged; then idle the engine. We advise applying to your Dealer for the assistance, or for any maintenance procedure. on the "Periodical Maintenance Card" herebelow are spcified all the details requiring interventions at preset deadlines. IMPORTANT All the assistance and maintenance operations described herein must absolutely be carried out, in order to guarantee the best operation of your motorcycle. Note*: Should the outside temperature be too low and prevent proper functioning, apply adhesive material to protect radiator finnings. CARBURETOR Once properly regulated, the carburetor requires very little readjustment; therefore before readjusting is undertaken, the other parts of the engine should have been carefully inspected. Before adjusting, make sure throttle coil wire allows for complete throttle closing with outward handlebar grip movement. 18) Adjust the carburetor with warm engine and with the throttle control in closed position. Proceed as follows: - Turn slow running adjusting screw (1) on the left side of the carburetor until the idle requested condition is reached (turn the screw clockwise to increase the rpm, and anticlockwise to descrease the rpm). Clean the filter according the description on the "Periodical mainten ance card". in presence of a faulty carburation , remove , disassemble and clean thorougly the carburettor. For this operation, apply dealer as he has the necessary equipment for carburettore maintenance and adjustment. 19 pages 109-111) To gain access to the air filter, operate as follows: - Turn rear pin (1) anticlockwise, then loosen the front fastening screw to remove the pin and the saddle; - Loosen the screws (2 and 3) that fasten the two side panels and remove the panels, (recover the bushes set under the screws); - Remove connector , on the left side of the fuses/battery wiring, from the main wiring harness; - remove from the rear frame the screw (A) then the plate with the oil pump; - Lift tank (4) taking care of the feed pipe, and set it in a position where it is possible to work on the air filter; - Loosen screw (6) and remove filter (7); Oil pump plate fastening screw 4. Plunge filter in special oil for filters, then wring it to drain superfluous oil. aSSEMBLY To ensure tight fit , slightly (C) grease filter edge on side facing filter housing.
