[. . . ] To Use Cruise Control The cruise control feature can be used for forward travel only. ⷠWith forward drive pedal depressed to desired speed, move cruise control lever forward to "SET" position and hold while lifting your foot off the pedal, then release the cruise control lever. Cutting Lower the cutting unit by moving the lift lever forward and connect the cutting unit. Choose a driving speed which suits the terrain and required cutting results. Any attempt by the operator to travel in the reverse direction with the attachment clutch engaged will shut off the engine unless ignition key is placed in the ROS "ON" position. Backing up with the attachment clutch engaged while mowing is strongly discouraged. Turning the ROS "ON", to allow reverse operation with the attachment clutch engaged, should only be done when the operator decides it is necessary to reposition the machine with the attachment engaged. uSING THE ROS · With engine running, turn ignition key counterclockwise to ROS "ON" position. When use of the ROS is no longer needed, turn the ignition key clockwise to engine "ON" position. Clear the lawn from stones and other objects which can be thrown away by the blades. Water can enter engine and transmission and shorten the useful life of the machine. clean Steering Plate: · Clean debris from steering plate. Left lower dash cover removal · Remove fastener (1) from left lower dash cover. CAUTION: Remove lower dash cover (2) carefully to ensure cover tabs (3) are not broken. ⷠSlide lower dash cover (2) up to release cover tabs (3) from tapered slots (4) in lower dash and remove. ⷠAfter oil has drained completely, close the drain valve turning clockwise. If your tractor does not function as described, repair the problem immediately. ⷠThe engine should not start unless the brake pedal is fully depressed, and the attachment clutch control is in the disengaged position. cHECK OPERATOR PRESENCE SYSTEM: · When the engine is running, any attempt by the operator to leave the seat without first setting the parking brake should shut off the engine.
