Salt The hardness of the water varies from place to place. If hard water is used in the dishwasher, deposits will form on the dishes and utensils. [. . . ] Make sure that the plug for the appliance is inserted into the wall socket. Load the dishwasher (see the section entitled, "Loading the Dishwasher"). Pour in the detergent (see the section entitled, "Salt, Detergent and Rinse Aid"). Turn the knob located on the right of the control panel in the clockwise direction until the number or symbol for the cycle setting is aligned with the reference mark (see the section entitled, "Wash Cycle Table"). Then, turn the dishwasher back on using the ON-OFF button. Wash Cycle Adjustment Buttons "Intensive 65°C" Button This button (see "Close-up View - Control Panel", letter "E") is used with the normal cycle in the case where pots and pans with dry caked-on food must be washed. This is not recommended for delicate items in so far as the high temperatures could make their surfaces opaque or lighten decorative colors after repeated washing. "Half Load "Button" This button (see "Close-up View - Control Panel", letter "F") makes it possible to wash dishes using only the upper rack if there are not enough dishes for a full load. It can be used before setting any of the wash cycles, except for the intensive cycles (if included in the wash cycle table). Please keep in mind that the amount of detergent should also be cut in half. GB 6 Wash Cycle Table Cycle INTENSIVE 65°C Button Cycle Selection Information Description of Cycle Detergent for Pre-wash + Wash Rinse Aid 1) Normal Wash 55°C Normally dirty dishes, pots and pans. Drying. 5+25 gr. * 1) Normal Wash Very dirty dishes, pots and pans (not to be used with delicate items). Pre-wash with cold water. Drying. 5+25 gr. * 2) Reduced Wash 55°C Normally dirty dishes, pots and pans without driedon residue. 5+25 gr. * 3) Delicates Economic, fast cycle to be used for items which are sensitive to higher. Hot Rinse at 65°C Drying. 25 gr. * 4) Rinses For dishes that need to be rinsed and dried only. Rinse with hot water at 65°C. Drying. * 5) Rapid Wash & Dry Economic, fast cycle to be used to on not very dirty dishes right after they are used. Short wash at 50°C. For this reason, it is a good idea to remove the larger food particles trapped inside the cup "C" and semi-circular filter "A" after each wash. All you need to do is rinse them under running water; to remove these, pull the cup handle upwards. The entire filter assembly, comprising a semi-circular filter "A", a cup "C", and a cylindrical filter "B" should be cleaned thoroughly once a month. [. . . ] If the fuse cover is lost, the plug must not be used until a replacement is obtained. Replacemente fuse covers: If a replacement fuse cover is fitted, it must be of the correct colours as indicated by the coloured marking or the colour that is embossed in words on the base of the plug. Replacements can be obtained directly from your nearest Service Depot. Removing the plug: Ifyour appliance has a non-rewireable moulded plug and you should wish to remove it to re-route the mains cable through partitions, units etc. , please esure that either: - the plug is replaced by a fused 13 amp re-wireable plug bearing the BSI mark of approval - or: - the mains cable is wired directly into a 13 amp cable outlet, controlled by a switch, (in compliance with BS 5733) which is accessible without moving the appliance.
