Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. This appliance shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and that no object filled with liquids such as vases shall be placed on the apparatus. [. . . ] Any old or leaking battery can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty. Insert the other plug into the DC INPUT Jack on the back of JiSS-250i. Note: The batteries will be automatically disconnected once the AC adaptor is plugged into the DC Jack and the System will operate on AC power. iPod ADAPTORS Below are the iPod Adaptors included in the package. iPod classic iPod touch iPod Nano 2nd Gen. iPod nano 3rd gen. iPod Nano 4th Gen. iPhone Note: No iPod adaptor is needed if you are using an iPod (5th generation) or iPod (4th generation). 4 DOCKING YOUR IPod 1. Select a suitable adaptor attachment for your iPod/iPhone and insert it into the docking tray. Your iPod/iPhone can now be inserted onto the dock connector by aligning the connector on the bottom of the iPod onto the connector in the docking bay as shown below. For iPod/iPhone Landscape Viewing (iPod nano (4th gen), iPod touch, iPhone 2G, and iPhone 3G) proceed as below: 3. Choose the Correct adaptor to hold the iPod/iPhone and embed it at the iPod docking tray. Extend the Speaker by pulling out the Left and Right Speaker Insert the iPod firmly on the docking, now the iPod can be rotated freely into the Landscape position to the Left as shown. Note: - Please be careful when seating the iPod/iPhone into the docking to avoid damaging the 30-pin connector on the iPod or in the docking system. - The iPod/iPhone will only be charged when the device is powered by an AC adaptor. Turn the JiSS-250i on by pressing the STANDBY Button on the front panel. Follow the iPod/iPhone operation instructions to operate your iPod/iPhone. Adjust the sound level by pressing the VOL +/- buttons on the JiSS-250i. Note: The volume level cannot be adjusted using the volume control on your iPod after docking. To remove the iPod/iPhone from the unit, press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE Button for few 5 seconds to switch off the device and then gently remove it from the docking connector. The System will automatically enter sleep mode 5 minutes after playback stops and switch to standby mode automatically after 30 minutes of no activity. In Sleep mode the LED will flash and in standby mode, the LED will go off.
