Presets This allows to specify two individual user sets for density levels as well as three individual user sets for magnification ratios, all of which are then available as soft keys on the corresponding screens. 3. 1 Density User Set Under two user sets, you can program one individual lighter and one individual darker density setting. ­ Press Userset 1 or Userset 2 to program an individual density setting. ­ The screen for sample copies in 16 darker density levels is displayed. To switch to the screen for sample copies in 16 lighter density levels, press the Lighter key on the left. ­ To produce the first sample copy with 4 density levels, press one of the keys on the right, e. g. ­ Once you have found a suitable density level for programming, touch the corresponding number in the screen and confirm this setting with OK, now leaving the screen. The programmed density settings can be recalled in the Basic screen under USER 1 and USER 2. 3. 2 Magnification User Set Three individual magnification ratios (= special ratios) can be programmed. Enter the required ratio via the key pad and confirm your setting with OK. Electronic Key Counter (EKC) The electronic key counter (EKC) can be used to limit access to the system to certain departments, users or key accounts. Electronic Key Counter (EKC) 4. 3 Resetting All Counters This screen serves to reset the counters for all EKC passwords to zero, i. e. ­ In order to reset all EKC counters, you have to press YES in this screen. Confirm with OK, to leave the screen. 4. 4 EKC Mode ON/OFF In this screen you can activate or deactivate the EKC function. If the system is connected as fax*, the screen looks different and you can set the EKC function individually for the copier and the fax*. If "OFF" is selected, copying is possible without any access procedure. The individual key counters and the set copy limits are not active, allowing unlimited copying to anyone. 4. 5 Copy Limit Effect You should determine the system condition upon reaching an allocated copy limit: ­ If you select Immediately, a copy job in progress is interrupted, if the copy limit for that password is reached. ­ If you press After Job, a copy job in progress will be completed after reaching the copy limit for the password. ­ The Warning setting will only display a user message on the screen, that the copy limit for the password has been reached. If the user code is entered again, further copying is possible with this setting! 12 * Option 5. Lock / Delete Job Memory This function allows to lock job memory settings, protecting them against overwriting, and to delete job memory settings. ­ Press the Job Lock key to protect the job memory against being overwritten with new settings.
