C352P 4-33 4 Copy protect Specifying printer driver settings You can print a special pattern on an entire page while printing. When copying a printed page, the characters embedded in the pattern appear to prevent an illegal copy. 1 2 3 4 Click the Watermark tab. Specify each setting, and then click the [OK] button. Copy Protect Type: Specify the pattern to be embedded with copy protection. You can specify multiple types from "Stamp", "Date/Time", and "Serial Number". A preregistered character string (Fixed stamp) or a character string registered on this machine (Registered stamp) can be specified. - Serial Number: Embeds the serial number of this machine in a pattern. 4-34 C352P Specifying printer driver settings 4 Detail Settings: Specifies the color and density pattern to be embedded with copy protection, and specifies the embedding method. - Pattern Overwrite: Select whether to print the pattern over the text of a document or print in the blank spaces. - Angle: Select the pattern angle. Select the contents of the original document to print with a quality suitable for the original document. Document: Select this setting to print with a quality suitable for documents containing mostly text. Photo: Select this setting to print with a quality suitable for photos. DTP: Select this setting to print with a quality suitable for documents produced using a DTP application. WEB: Select this setting to print with a quality suitable for Web page printing. CAD: Select this setting to print with a quality suitable for CAD data printing. Detailed: Select this setting to separately adjust the text, photos, and charts in the document.
