[. . . ] The first three digits are the folder's serial number, which will increase by one each time a new folder is created. The next three letters refer to Minolta, and the last two numbers indicate the camera used; 09 indicates a DiMAGE X. A date folder name also starts with the three digit serial number and is followed by one register for the year, two registers for the month, and two registers for the day: 100YMMDD. With the date folder format selected, when an image is recorded a new folder with the day's date will be created. Images recorded on a different day will be placed in a new folder with the corresponding date. When a new folder is created, the serial number in the image-file name is reset to 0001. After selecting the LCD brightness option and pressing the enter button on the menu (p. Pressing and holding the display button will also active the LCD brightness screen. Use the left and right keys (1) to adjust the brightness level; the monitor image will change accordingly. When a recording is made, the date and time of the recording are saved with the file and are displayed in playback mode or with the DiMAGE Image Viewer Utility software included on the CD-ROM.
