Erase 1 <Punch Hole Erase I> The copier erases an area of the original equivalent to a given margin from the trailing edge of the copy, thereby eliminating shadows that could otherwise be produced on the copy if it is made from an original having punch holes or staples. The erase width can be selected from among 10 mm 15 mm and 20 mm.

Erase 2 <Punch Hole Erase II> The copier erases the rear margin area to prevent shadows from being produced even if 2-sided originals of a landscape format with punch holes are fed through the AFR-7. Supplementary Function Setting Erase 3 <Frame Erase> The copier erases a set width along the four edges. This feature is effective, for example, when making a copy from a document received by fax. Erase 4 <Center Erase> The copier erases a set width at the center to prevent shadows from being produced when a copy is made from, for example, an open thick book. The erase width can be either 10 mm, 15 mm or 20 mm.
