[. . . ] Safety instructions and prevention of accidents Before operating the machine, please read through the operating instructions completely, follow the Safety Instructions in this manual as well as the general Safety Instructions for Power Tools in the accompanying booklet. Safety regulations (DIN 66069 und EN 68) The follwing procedures must be strictly adhered to: 1. Grinding wheels should always be stored in such a way as to protect them from damage. [. . . ] Before every change of a grinding wheel the mains plug must be pulled!The dust produced when working with crystalline silicic acid is harmful to health. Also applicable to this tool are the separately enclosed safety notes, which we recommend following. Outside power sockets must be protected with residual-current-operated circuit-breakers (r. Double insulation Our equipment is designed in accordance with European regulations (EN standards) for the utmost safety of the user. Initial operation Before the first operation check that the mains voltage corresponds to that given on the machine nameplate. Instructions: how to avoid overloading the motor In normal use a slight warming of the machine housing can be felt, should however the housing become hot, this means that the motor is being overworked (danger of motor burning). By letting the motor run in idling position (no contact with workpiece) the motor can be quickly cooled down and then further used. 1 Switching the machine on and off The machine is started by sliding the switch ring (1) in the direction of the arrow. the toggle lever (2) will then automatically engage in the foremost slide position. Pushing on the tilted front edge (3) of the lever (2) disengages the lever and causes the switch ring (1) to rotate back into its original position automatically. 2 When grinding, the best results are achieved if you work at a setting angle of approx. 3 Disassembly/Assembly of the protection cover If the protection cover (4) has to be removed, proceed as follows: Unscrew the two screws (5) and remove the counterflange (6). The protection cover (4), annular ring (7) and limit stop washer (8) can now be lifted off. If the tool is defective, please complete the guarantee card and return the unit, guarantee card and a brief description of the problem to the responsible service location.
