Manual abstract: user guide MAKITA 1050D

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Always cover the battery terminals with the battery cover when the battery cartridge is not used. Do not short the battery cartridge: (1) Do not touch the terminals with any conductive material. [. . . ] â· To insert the battery cartridge, align the tongue on the battery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slip it into place. Always insert it all the way until it locks in place with a little click. If not, it may accidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury to you or someone around you. â· Do not use force when inserting the battery cartridge. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it is not being inserted correctly. Use the edge fence when shiplapping (rabbeting) or cutting workpieces nearly 50 mm wide. Install the edge fence on the tool and secure it with the washer and thumb screw (A). Loosen the thumb screw (B) and adjust the edge fence until it comes in contact with the side of the workpiece. You may wish to add to the length of the fence by attaching an extra piece of wood. When planing, move the tool with the edge fence flush with the side of the workpiece. CAUTION: Before shiplapping, make sure that the blade end protrudes slightly from the side of the drum. Turn the knob on the front of the tool until the pointer is aligned with the desired cutting depth on the scale. 10, align the "V" groove in the front base with the edge of the workpiece and plane it as shown in Fig. CAUTION: Before inserting the battery cartridge into the tool, always check to see that the switch trigger actuates properly and returns to the "OFF" position when released. [. . . ] If you need any assistance for more details regarding these accessories, ask your local Makita service center.
