Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Due to our continuing program of research and development, the specifications herein are subject to change without notice. ⷠNote: Specifications may differ from country to country. Intended use The tool is intended for the sanding of large surface of wood, plastics and metal materials as well as painted surfaces. [. . . ] Important: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before installing or removing the belt. Pull the lever all the way out and install the belt over the rollers, then return the lever to the original position. DO NOT let comfort or familiarity with product (gained from repeated use) replace strict adherence to belt sander safety rules. If you use this tool unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious personal injury. Hold power tools by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a "live" wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool "live" and shock the operator. Ventilate your work area adequately when you perform sanding operations. CAUTION: When installing the belt, make sure that the direction of the arrow on the back of the belt corresponds to the one on the tool itself. While the belt is running, use the adjusting knob to center the belt tracking. When attaching the dust bag, push it onto the dust nozzle firmly as far as it will go to prevent it from coming off during operation. For the best results, empty the dust bag when it becomes about half full, tapping it lightly to remove as much dust as possible. Before plugging in the tool, always check to see that the switch trigger actuates properly and returns to the "OFF" position when released. ⷠThe tool should not be in contact with the workpiece surface when you turn the tools on or off. For continuous operation, pull the trigger and then push in the lock button. To stop the tool from the locked position, pull the trigger fully, then release it. Keep the belt flush with the workpiece at all times and move the tool back and forth. [. . . ] We declare under our sole responsibility that this product is in compliance with the following standards of standardized documents, EN60745, EN55014, EN61000 in accordance with Council Directives, 89/336/EEC and 98/37/EC. For European countries only Noise and Vibration The typical A-weighted sound pressure level is 85 dB (A). The typical weighted root mean square acceleration value is not more than 2. [. . . ]
