You can achieve a 3D or surround effect for CDs that are coded in Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Digital or dts formats if two loudspeakers are connected. DVD menus DVDs usually have one or more menus stored on them and you can use these to navigate through the DVD. The names of these menus depend on the DVD; they may be called "DVD menu", "Disc menu", "Main menu", "Title menu", "Root menu" or "Master menu". You DVD player menu (SETUP menu) can be called up with the SETUP button. You can call up the menus stored on the DVD using the TITLE and DVD MENU buttons. Please note that the menus that are available when you press a button will depend on the DVD. Some DVDs only have one menu that appears for the two call-up methods. If other languages are available on the DVD this is the quickest method of selecting them. Please note, however, that this function has not been implemented on many DVDs. Press the SUBTITLE key repeatedly to select another sub-title language stored on the DVD. The music titles on MP3 and JPEG data carriers may be organised into folders just like on data carriers. Provided that the data carrier actually contains folders, they are listed on the left-hand side of the menu (see diagram). The display also shows the total number of files on the CD, for example 1 0 5 F I L ES . In this case you can use the highest menu item ( ) or the button to return to the menu item above. To hear a title or view an image, select it and confirm with PLAY or ENTER. MP3: Direct selection using the number keys Enter the number of the title you want. With JPEG images you will see a preview of the image on the right-hand side of the menu. All images within the active folder can be displayed in succession (slide show).
