Connect the speaker's positive (+) binding post to your amplifier's positive (+) terminal, and the negative (­) binding post to its negative (­) terminal. When deciding where to place the speakers, read the following: · If possible, mount the speakers on speaker stands, concrete blocks, bricks, or a sturdy bookshelf. Putting them directly on the floor will emphasize bass sounds, resulting in a boomy sound. · If a speaker is placed on an uneven surface, it may wobble or vibrate and adversely affect bass performance. You can eliminate speaker wobble by putting a cork spacer or metal, such as a coin, underneath the speaker or stand, as shown. · If you place the speakers on a flat surface, such as a bookshelf, you can improve the sound quality by inserting cork spacers or metal, such as a coin, underneath each speaker. Raising the speaker off the flat surface a little will reduce the contact area and improve the sound quality. Cork spacer or coin Attaching the Included Protective Cover If you plan not to use the speaker for a long period of time, attach the included protective cover to protect the speaker from dust, scratches, or sun damage.
