The DVD Receiver starts playback from the selected chapter or track. · Some title may not display chapter numbers. · When you set "Title Stop" to "Off" (see page 56), you can locate consecutive chapters in another title. If you go back to the preceding title by pressing , the DVD Receiver locates the first chapter of the title. When "Title Stop" is set to "On, " you can locate consecutive chapters only within the current title. To select a title and chapter number at the same time ENTER Press / to highlight the space next to "Title, " and enter the title number using the number buttons. Note Pressing CLEAR resets the Title and Chapter numbers. Notes · Some discs may not respond to this procedure. · This method for accessing specific locations is available only within the current title of the DVD video or within the current track of the VIDEO CD/audio CD. 25 Listening to the Radio There are two ways to select radio stations: one is manual tuning and the other is presetting radio stations then selecting the preset channels. You can tune manually only with the buttons on the DVD Receiver. 1 FM Press FM or AM to select the band. 1 2 Press TUNING frequency. / to change the PRESET MEMORY Tune in the radio station you wish to preset (see steps on the left). Press PRESET MEMORY. "PRESET IN" appears in the DVD Receiver's display. AM 2 TUNING 3 · The frequency changes in 50 kHz steps in FM and 10 kHz in AM each time you press TUNING /. · In FM, if this button is held continuously for more than 0. 5 seconds, the frequencies are scanned automatically­FM auto tuning mode. When a broadcast is received, scanning stops. ENTER While "PRESET IN" is lit in the display, press ENTER. The MEMORY indicator lights up in the display. 4 PRESET / MODE ADJ While the MEMORY indicator is lit in the display, press PRESET / to select the channel number to which you wish to register the radio station. Tuning in a weak frequency (only for FM stations) When you tune in a stereo FM station, the FM STEREO indicator lights up if the signal is sufficiently strong. In this case, tune in as follows. FM MUTE 5 ENTER Press ENTER. The radio station is registered to the preset channel. To register another preset station, repeat steps 1 to 5. Press FM MUTE. The FM MUTE indicator turns off. At this time, the station will be in mono and interstation noise will be heard. See "Presetting Radio Stations" on the previous page. Erasing a Preset Station Erasing preset stations can be made only with the buttons on the DVD Receiver. Selecting with the remote controller 1 2 PRESET MEMORY Select the preset channel you wish to erase (see steps on the left). Basic Operation 1 2 TUNER Press TUNER to switch the input source to the tuner. "FM" or "AM" appears in the DVD Receiver's display. The band selected in this step will not affect the next step. Press PRESET MEMORY twice. "ERASE" appears in the DVD Receiver's display. CHANNEL TUNER PRESET Press TUNER PRESET / repeatedly until the desired preset number appears. Note The DVD RECEIVER/LEVEL SETUP/TV switch must be set to DVD RECEIVER. 3 ENTER While "ERASE" is lit in the display, press ENTER. The selected preset channel will be erased. ("STEREO" indicator does not light steadily. ) Causes · FM stereo waves may produce a hiss noise when a certain level is reached.
