Speaker setup
Before operating your stereo system, you need to set the type and position of the connected speakers. Press the PARAMETER SELECTOR® button once to display the subwoofer parameter. Press the PARAMETER CONTROLLER /® buttons to select "YES" if a subwoofer is connected, or select "NO" if a subwoofer is not connected. Press the PARAMETER SELECTOR® button to display the front speaker size parameter, and press the PARAMETER CONTROLLER /® buttons to select "LARGE" or "SMALL" according to the speaker size. To adjust the level of each speaker, press the CH SEL button to select a speaker and press the LEVEL/ buttons to raise or lower the level. The test tone should sound at the same level when you hear it in your listening position. Press the TEST TONE button to complete adjustment.
Parameter selector
This chart shows how the display changes when the PARAMETER SELECTOR buttons are pressed. Selecting a parameter and pressing the PARAMETER CONTROLLER button will change the value or setting for the selected parameter.

Selecting a sound source
Follow the steps below to select a device to play the sound source.

DIMMER button Use this button to change the brightness of the display (normal or dim).
4. These controls allow you to adjust the volume of the Front, Center, Surround speakers and subwoofer simultaneously. Turning the control counter-clockwise decreases the volume level.
