The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance. Important Safety Instructions 1. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. [. . . ] The Mute function is cancelled when the AV receiver is set to Standby. Notes: · Always turn down the volume before connecting your headphones. · The speakers are turned off while the headphones plug is inserted in the PHONES jack. On the TX-SR702E, when the Stereo or Mono listening mode is selected, audio is downmixed for a good sound. 54 Basic Operation--Continued Displaying Source Information You can display various information about the current input source as follows. RECEIVER DISPLAY RECEIVER Press the [RECEIVER] button, and then press the [DISPLAY] button repeatedly to cycle through the available information. DISPLAY The following information can typically be displayed for input sources. Input source & volume Signal format* or sampling frequency Input source & listening mode *If the input signal is analog, no format information is displayed. If the input signal is digital but not PCM, the signal format is displayed. Information is displayed for about three seconds, then the previously displayed information reappears. Notes: · In some cases, the text characters displayed on the AV receiver may not be identical to those broadcast by the radio station. Also, unexpected characters may be displayed when unsupported characters are received. · If the signal from an RDS station is weak, RDS data may be displayed intermittently or not at all. Alarm ALARM When an RDS station is making an emergency broadcast, ALARM will flash on the display. 58 Basic Operation--Continued Displaying Radio Text (RT) 4 1 To start the search, press [ENTER]. The AV receiver searches until it finds a station of the type you specified, at which point it stops briefly before continuing with the search.
