Take hold of the holder at position B and pull it out to remove the battery by pushing position A in the direction shown by the arrow. Set a new battery properly with its (+) side facing up as shown in the figure. E N G L I S H 8 Program Service Name Display (PS Display) The name of station is displayed instead of the frequency. Clock Time Service (CT Service) When receiving an RDS station, the CT (Clock Time) service automatically adjusts the time and date. "NO CT" is displayed in areas where CT service is not available. (a page 12 for Clock Set) Alternative Frequency (AF) When reception is poor, an RDS station broadcasting the same program is tuned in automatically. AF Mode Open the center speaker (a page 9), press and hold [DIMR](AF) for more than 2 seconds to switch AF mode on or off. AF on AF Level q w e Press and hold [-] for more than 2 seconds. Press [SEL] to change to AF level setting mode. AF Level 1 (Low level AF operating sensitivity) AF Level 2 Press [1] or [2] to change AF level. (a page 11 about auto preset memory. ) REG (Region) Mode Changes the selection range of AF and Best Station Research. REG ON The frequency is changed only for programs within the region. Display Change Press [D] to change the display as follows. (When receiving a PS staion) Program Service Name Best Station Research Best Station Research is automatically activated to store the station with the best reception for each preset button. Frequency Dot Spectrum Analyzer REG OFF The frequency is changed also for programs outside the region. [. . . ] Step Select other stations of higher signal level. Battery cable is not correctly connected. Connect the battery cable to the terminal that is always live. 3CD Trouble CD is inside but no sound CD sound skips, tone quality is low. Instable mounting Step Place CD in the correction direction, the label side up. Mount the unit securely with the mounting parts, referring to the section on Installation. If normal operation is not restored yet, call the store where you purchased the unit or the nearest service station to ask for repairs. CD is not ejected. ¡CD is defective. [. . . ]
