When you use the camera on a rainy or snowy day or on a beach or similar place, do not let grit, fine dust or seawater get into the camera. (Care should be taken when inserting and removing the card. ) · If seawater splashes onto the camera, wet a soft cloth with tap water, wring it well, and use it to wipe the camera body carefully. · The outer case may be destroyed by the strong shock, and it may cause malfunction of this camera. · For storing or transporting the camera, place it in a bag or case lined with soft pads to prevent the coating on the camera body from being worn. · Before cleaning the camera, remove the batteries or disconnect the AC adaptor (optional, DMW-AC2) from the electrical outlet. · The camera body may be deformed and the surface finish may peel off. To remove stubborn stains, wipe with a cloth that is soaked in a detergent diluted with water and afterward finish wiping with a dry cloth. 91 Others If you will not be using the camera for a long time, · Do not keep the camera in a place where it will be subjected to high temperatures, high humidity or soot. · Keep the camera in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place and avoid storing near dust or chemicals. ª Condensation When using the camera outdoors during very cold weather, condensation can form on the camera and lens when you return to a warm place. When condensation has taken place: Turn the camera off and leave the camera in this condition for about 2 hours.
