The tuner presets all the stations it can receive into the channels in ascending order. FM and AM stations are preset into channels 1 to 15. 21 RQT6220 Radio operations 9 Selecting channels Sound field Note Dolby Pro Logic and Super Surround cannot be used if headphones are connected. You may experience a reduction in sound quality when these sound field systems are used with some sources. If this occurs, turn the sound field system off. Sound field system Features Dolby Digital and DTS are digital encoding systems used on DVD to carry surround sound. This unit automatically recognizes and decodes these systems. Software Software encoded with Dolby Digital can be identified with this mark. DOLBY DIGITAL and DTS ( page 23) Software encoded with DTS can be identified with this mark. DVD Sound quality/sound field operations DOLBY PRO LOGIC ( page 23) Dolby Pro Logic is a decoding system that was developed to get a better sense of presence from sources encoded with Dolby Surround. The feeling of position has been improved by the addition of a separate center speaker channel. Software encoded with Dolby Surround can be identified with this mark. DVD CD, Video CD Laser Disc Video tape MUSIC SUPER SURROUND ( page 24) This mode adds surround effects to stereo sources. You can adjust the volume of the surround speakers to get the best surround effect.
