Taking a Picture in Manual Setting (M) Mode
You can manually set the shutter speed and aperture to achieve a particular effect. This is convenient for shooting fireworks and other images where it is difficult to set the correct exposure automatically. You can set the camera to M mode and take a picture by the following steps: 1. Turn on the camera by sliding and holding the Power Switch in the arrow direction shown near the switch for 2 seconds. Set the camera in A/S/M mode.

NOTE: · The icon will appear when the shutter speed is slow, which reminds you to hold the camera steady or use a tripod. · The LCD screen will show you the aperture value and the shutter speed at which you take the picture. · The camera highlights both the aperture value and the shutter speed in red if they are not suitable for taking a picture. If this happens, release your finger, press Down button to select the aperture value field or the shutter speed field, and press Left/Right button to adjust the aperture value and shutter speed respectively. Recompose the scene and press the Shutter button halfway to reset the focus. · When the Focus LED blinks and the red focus mark appears on the LCD screen (when it is on), there is difficulty in focusing the subject.
