5. Makesurethatnoairisleakingfromyourmaskintoyoureyes. Ifitis, adjustthemaskand headgear until the air leak stops. Asmallamountofmaskleakisnormalandacceptable. Correctlargemaskleaksoreye irritation from an air leak as soon as possible.
If you are using the device in bed, try placing the tubing from the device over your headboard. If you are having trouble with your mask, refer to the instructions supplied with the mask. You must remove the mask and patient circuit before you get out of bed.

The device is equipped with an optional ramp feature that your home care provider can enable or disable. This feature reduces the air pressure when you are trying to fall asleep and then gradually increases (ramps) the pressure until your prescription setting is reached, allowing you to fall asleep more comfortably. Iframpisenabledonyourdevice, afteryouturnontheairflow, presstheRAMPbuttononthe topofthedevice. YoucanusetheRAMPbuttonasoftenasyouwishduringthenight. NOTE: Iftherampfeatureisdisabled, nothingwillhappenwhenyoupresstheRAMPbutton.

TheIntegratedHeatedHumidifierisafeaturethatmayreducenasaldrynessandirritationby adding moisture and heat to the airflow. This feature can be enabled or disabled by your home care provider.

Iftheheatedhumidifierisenabledonyourdevice, presstheHEAT button on the top of the device. TheHeatSettingscreenwillappear, Figure4-5. Youcanenterthisscreenfromeitherthe standby or operate screen. NOTE: If the heated humidifier feature is disabled by the home care provider, nothing will happenwhenyoupresstheHEATbutton.

1. Therapy Usage Hours (Standby Screen) This screen displays the amount of time that the device provided therapy (with the blower on and the patient connected). The decimal digit is displayedifuserhoursarelessthan10000soitcanbedisplayedwith0. 1 hourresolution. Otherwise, thevaluesbetween10000and99999hours can be displayed. Your home care provider may periodically ask you for this information.
