The RA-820BX2 has a highly regulated power supply incorporating a Rotel custom-designed toroidal power transformer. This low impedance power supply has ample power reserves, which enables the RA-820BX2 to easily reproduce the most demanding audio signals. This type of design is more expensive to manufacture, but it is better for the music. Like all audio components that handle lowlevel signals, the RA-820BX2 can be affected by its environment. The heat sinks and ventilation openings in the amplifier are designed to dissipate this heat. If you are attaching bare wires directly to the binding posts, separate the wire conductors and strip the insulation from the end of each conductor.
