16 After toasting small items (bagels, crumpets, etc. ) the bread carriage handle may be raised further, to allow them to be removed more easily. 18 Leave the browning control at the setting you use with normal, unfrozen bread. 19 Put the frozen bread into the slots, lower the bread carriage handle, to start the toaster, then press the f button. 20 The toasting time will be altered automatically to give the same degree of browning you get with unfrozen bread. 22 When it's done, the toast will pop up, the light will go out, and the elements will turn off.

23 When reheating toast, use a low setting, otherwise you'll burn your toast. Only reheat plain, unbuttered toast.

24 If you're toasting more than one slice of bread, make sure the slices are of similar size, thickness and freshness, otherwise they'll brown differently. 25 Old (yesterday's) bread contains less moisture that fresh bread, so makes crisper toast.
