If you buy distilled water, check that it's marketed as suitable for irons. Open the water inlet cover Lift the iron till the water inlet cover is about vertical. Pour slowly, and try to pour down one side of the inlet, to allow the air in the reservoir to escape, otherwise you'll cause an air lock and the water will overflow. 21 Wipe up any spillage.

22 Steam is only available from the COTTO (cotton) setting upwards. At lower temperatures, you'll only get water, so don't use the steam function below COTTO. 25 If it doesn't flash, check that the temperature is set at COTTO or higher. This stops the steam if the iron is motionless for 5 seconds, to avoid soaking the fabric. 27 To stop the steam, press the top button again, and the s symbol will disappear. 28 This works with dry or steam ironing, as long as there's water in the reservoir. 33 You may initially have to press it 2 or 3 times to pump water through the system.

connection
The product must be earthed. To replace the plug, fit the green/yellow wire to E or E, the blue wire to N, and the brown wire to L. Don't use a non-rewireable plug unless the fuse cover is in place. If you remove the plug, dispose of it.
