17 This will shorten the life of the element. 18 To prevent the kettle cycling on and off, remove it from the stand. 20 Don't fill the kettle till it's cold, or it may spit.
Read the instructions and keep them safe. Remove all packing, but keep it till you check the kettle.
filling caution keep clear of steam from the lid hole
2 Lift the kettle off the stand. 3 To remove the lid: a) let the kettle cool, to avoid/reduce steam b) grip the rear of the handle with one hand, c) grip the lid knob with the other hand d) pull the lid up and away from the kettle, to prevent steam reaching your hands 4 Use at least 2 cupfuls, but don't fill past max. 5 Replace the lid, and press down to secure it.
