Connection to the mains supply Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label. Rating label (on underside of base unit) Important safety instructions Before the appliance is used, the main body including the power cord and any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel. Before using for the first time Before the juicer is used for the first time, it must be cleaned as described in the section General Care and Cleaning. Operation - Attach the juice container to the drive shaft of the base unit. If necessary, the large juicer cone may be fitted on top of the small cone. - Push the spout upwards to ensure that the extracted juice remains in the container. However, the juice may also be collected straight into a suitable container placed under the spout: in this case, the spout must face downwards. - Cut the citrus fruit in half and push one - - - of the halves lightly down on to the cone with the cut section facing downwards. The drive shaft will start rotating automatically once pressure is applied to the cone. When processing larger quantities of fruit, the pulp sieve must be emptied from time to time as necessary. Once the desired amount of juice has been collected, push the spout upwards again. Ensure the plug is removed from the wall socket after use. General Care and Cleaning Before cleaning the appliance, remove the plug from the wall socket. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the base unit or power cord with water, and do not immerse them in water.
