Connection to the mains supply The hair dryer should only be connected to an earthed socket installed in accordance with the regulations. Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the hair dryer. Always switch off and remove the plug from the wall socket after use, as well as - in cases of malfunction, and - during cleaning. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children, as they are a potential source of danger e. In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel, including the replacement of the power cord. If repairs are needed, please send the appliance to one of our customer service departments. Operation Connect the hair dryer to a suitable wall socket and use the slide switch to select the desired power setting. Cleaning and care ■ Before cleaning the hair dryer, remove the plug from the wall socket and let the appliance cool down completely. –  To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the hair dryer with water nor immerse it in water. - If necessary, the housing of the hair dryer may be wiped with a dry lint-free cloth. - Always check the air intake openings for accumulated lint particles or hair and remove any found.
